What is the JAMB Cut Off Mark For Federal Universities 2026?

From the last announcement made by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), the JAMB cut off mark set for all Federal Universities across Nigeria is 150 and above. 

All JAMB candidates who made or have plans to make one of the Federal Universities in Nigeria his or her first choice of Institution must have at least 150. 

There are situations where some of these universities will not accept the minimum announced by JAMB. Examples of schools that doesn’t accept 150 are BUK, ABU, UNIBEN, OOU, OAU, UNILORIN, UNILAG and many others.

Requirements To Gain Admission Into Federal Universities in Nigeria

Here are the list of all the requirements you must meet to be qualified for Admission into any of the Federal University you saw above:

  1. You must select the institution as your first choice during JAMB registration
  2. You must meet the o’level requirements I.e having credits in five relevant subjects to your course with Mathematics and English Language inclusive
  3. You must be at least 16 years of age
  4. You must score above the cut off mark for the institution you selected
  5. You must make a change of Institution to that of the new one you want to apply if you didn’t select them earlier
